- Is the encryption different between plans?
- No. End-to-end encryption is the same on Free and Pro — your password is the only key on both. Pro just unlocks more capacity and more automation around how your data is eventually delivered.
- Can I downgrade from Pro to Free?
- Yes. If you drop below the Free-tier recipient or storage limits on downgrade, we’ll keep your existing data intact and just stop you from adding more until you’re under the cap (or upgrade again).
- What happens to a pending release if my subscription lapses?
- Pending releases that already fired before your subscription lapsed still execute — we won’t use billing status to hold back something you’ve already chosen to release. New triggers that require Pro features become inactive until billing resumes.
- Do you have a discount for non-profits or hardship cases?
- Yes — click here to write to us. We don’t advertise it, but if you need Inktally and Pro is the barrier, we’ll find a way.
- Why is Pro charged annually rather than monthly?
- Two reasons, both in your favour. Inktally is something you set up once and lean on for years, so a once-a-year charge fits the rhythm better than a monthly nudge — it pairs naturally with the annual review we already prompt you for. And card processors take a fixed fee on every transaction; billing once instead of twelve times keeps far more of your $2.99/month going to running the service rather than to payment fees, which is part of how we keep the price this low. We show the price per month so it’s easy to compare; the actual charge is one yearly payment.
- Why so cheap?
- Inktally only works if you trust it for decades. Cheap-and-stable is part of that pitch: a price you can keep paying without thinking about it, a company that doesn’t need to chase quarterly growth charts.
